The humanoid sculpture, approximately 2 meters tall, is a robot whose only function is to
breathe.
The robot’s acrylic tubes and piston motors mimic the movement of the human lungs and
diaphragm.
Through the tube, viewers can not only hear the robot’s breathing but also physically feel
it.
"With this robot, which resembles human breathing yet serves no practical purpose for humans, I
sought to break with the cliché that robots are machines built to provide convenience for
humankind."
